Macrame Instructions

Thank you for joining The Scrap Bar at The Desert Botanical Garden's Craft Tuesday event! Below you will find the instructions for adding a macrame detail to your keychain :)

Step 1:
Tie your macrame cord around your base with a basic knot and pull tight.


Step 2:
Cross the left cord over your base and under the right cord, making a number "4" shape.

Step 3:
Pull the right cord behind the base and through the loop on the left. Tighten the cords.

Step 4:
Complete the same motion from the opposite side -- cross the right cord over your base and under the left cord, making a "P" shape. 

Step 5:
Pull the left cord behind the base and through the loop on the right. Tighten the cords.

Step 6:
Repeat this motion until your desired length. Secure with a double or triple knot. Please return any unused materials and supplies to the returns area. Thank you for crafting at The Desert Botanical Garden!
